2nd INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG PIANISTS ``GENÈVE MUSICALE`` 2025
1. General conditions
1.1 Conditions of participation
The 2nd International Competition for Young Pianists, organized by the GENÈVE MUSICALE Association, is an international event of musical interpretation open to young pianists up to 18 years old.
1.2 Competition dates and registration
The deadline for registration is April 7, 2025.
The list of candidates admitted to the Semi-final round will be published no later than April 17, 2025.
Arrival of the candidates and piano rehearsal will be on June 9, 2025 in Genthod (Switzerland).
The Semi-final and Final round will be held from June 10 to 14, 2025 in Genthod (Switzerland).
Registration will be available online from September 2, 2024 at: genevemusicale.com
The following documents are to be submitted to register:
- the application form duly completed online
- proof of bank transfer of the registration fee.
- photocopy of the candidate’s AND legal guardian’s passports
- high resolution portrait photo of the candidate.
- a CV with the name(s) of current and former teacher(s), and the name of the candidate’s school, if enrolled.
- the link to the YouTube Channel containing the recent video recording of the program of the Preselection round must be sent by April 7, 2025 in HD or 4K format, fixed camera, without edits, with a zoom-out of the whole interpret. The candidate’s first and last name must be clearly mentioned.
1.3. Registration fee
The compulsory and non-refundable registration fee of CHF 120.- is due at the time of registration. Any bank transfer costs are the responsibility of the candidate.

1.4. Additional costs
The costs resulting from participation in the competition (travel, stay, etc.) are the responsibility of the participants. Applicants who are minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.For any additional information, contact us at: contact@genevemusicale.com
1.5. Invitation letter
The candidates admitted to the Semi-final round will receive an invitation letter.
1.6. Insurance
Each candidate must have a valid health/accident insurance. The competition organizers decline all responsibility in the event of illness or accident.
2. Categories, rounds and performance order
2.1. The Competition is organized in three age categories.
Category A: pianists born after June 14, 2012
Category B: pianists born after June 14, 2009
Category C: pianists born after June 14, 2006
2.2. Performance order
The order of performance of the candidates will be established by drawing of lots.
3. Prizes
The jury can decide whether or not to award the Prizes and/or to share them “ex-aequo”.
3.1. Prizes Category A
1st Prize – CHF 1’000; 2nd Prize – CHF 700; 3rd Prize – CHF 500
3.2. Prizes Category B
1st Prize – CHF 3’000; 2nd Prize – CHF 1’500; 3rd Prize – CHF 700
3.3. Prizes Category C
1st Prize – CHF 5’000; 2nd Prize – CHF 3’000; 3rd Prize – CHF 1’500
3.4. Special prizes
Special Prizes may be awarded by the Jury in each category.
4. Jury and evaluation
The competition Jury is composed of internationally recognized artistic personalities.The Jury members and the participants must respectively abstain from any comment about the competition during its entire duration.The Jury members will not take part in voting for their pupils.If any irregularity is observed, the candidate concerned might be disqualified.All Jury decisions are final.
5. Legal notices
By checking the corresponding box when registering for the competition online, legal guardians of participants and the participants confirm that they have read and accepted this document in its entirety. They also assign to the competition organizers all the rights to broadcast the images and soundtracks recorded during the competition without a time limit.
In the event of a dispute, the French version of this document shall prevail.
