The Genève Musicale International Festival 2026 celebrates the laureates of the 2025 Genève Musicale International Competition—young musicians aged 13 to 18, selected for their artistic excellence and musical commitment. Conceived as a pivotal stage in their development, the Festival offers them the opportunity to perform publicly alongside internationally renowned artists, fostering a spirit of mentorship and intergenerational dialogue.
Over the course of a week, concerts, public masterclasses, and discussion sessions will bring together the Festival Masters—Prisca Benoit, Rena Shereshevskaya, Michail Markov, and Alan Kwiek—alongside guest musicians Adrian Kreda and Mladen Tcholitch, performing together with the 2025 Competition laureates.
The closing concert will unite Masters and Laureates with the orchestra Les Solistes de Neuchâtel, conducted by Sergey Ostrovsky, in a festive program featuring The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, accompanied by an original visual creation by Sandra Albukrek.
In keeping with Genève Musicale’s commitment to Swiss contemporary creation, the Festival will highlight works by leading Swiss composers, including Michel Runtz, Frank Martin, Christian Favre, and Daniel Schnyder.
Genève Musicale is dedicated to making music accessible to all: concerts will be streamed live online, free admission will be offered to audiences under 25, all venues are fully accessible to persons with reduced mobility, and outreach initiatives are designed for diverse audiences.
